One man was killed and another wounded in an Englewood neighborhood shooting early Wednesday, police said.
The men were in the 5800 block of South Sangamon Street when they were shot about 1:30 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
Jason Scott, 32, of the 5600 block of South May Street, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was dead on the scene, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The other wounded man, who is 28, was shot in the backside. He was listed in “stable” condition at an area hospital, police said.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
