A documented member of the Gangster Disciples was shot to death in the West Englewood early Tuesday, two blocks away from his home.
Lenardo Allison, 26, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head in a parking lot near 62nd Street and Ashland Avenue about 4:06 a.m., police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
Allison, of the 6200 block of South Laflin Street, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:22 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
Police said he was a documented Gangster Disciple. A weapon was recovered in relation to the shooting, police said.
Area South detectives are investigating.
