One dead, one grazed in Englewood shooting

A gunman opened fire on two men standing on a Englewood corner Wednesday night, killing one while nicking the other, police said.

Ronald Henry, 22, was standing on the corner of West Marquette Road and South Sangamon Street with another man bout 10:10 p.m. when a male shooter walked toward them and fired shots, authorities said. The shooter then escaped on foot.

Henry, a known gang member, died on the scene after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. The other man, 24, escaped with a graze wound to the leg and was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital for treatment, police said.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
