Woman shot, killed, in East Garfield Park

A woman wounded in an East Garfield Park shooting Monday afternoon on the West Side has died.

Lakeisha Tate, 28, was shot about 1:40 p.m. outside in the 3300 block of West Harrison Street, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Tate, of the 300 block of South Hamlin Boulevard, was shot in the abdomen area and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where she died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
