A man who was shot in the South Shore neighborhood Friday evening has died.
Jaleel Pearson, 18, was shot in the 2200 block of East 71st Street about 6:10 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
An unknown male shooter approached and shot him twice in the arm and once in the chest before fleeing, police said.
Pearson, of the 6800 block of South Artesian Avenue, was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County about 50 minutes later, the medical examiner’s office said.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
