Edward Caridine, 44, found beaten to death in Chicago Lawn home

Edward Caridine was found beaten to death in his Chicago Lawn home.

Police responded to the 7000 block of South Claremont about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday after Caridine’s roommate found him unresponsive, authorities said. Caridine, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy determined Caridine died from multiple injuries from an assault, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Nobody has been charged in the killing.

Area Central Detectives are investigating.
