Maurice Coleman was shot to death while walking in the West Pullman neighborhood early Sunday.
Coleman, 29, was walking with a friend in the 400 block of West 117th Street when shots were fired just after midnight, authorities said.
Coleman, of the 11000 block of South Lowe Avenue, was shot in the head and chest and died about 20 minutes later at Roseland Community Hospital, authorities said.

His friend was uninjured, police said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating.
