Chad Collins was fatally shot Monday night in the South Shore neighborhood.
Collins, 36, was shot in the leg just before 7 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of East 75th Street, authorities said.
Collins, of Harvey, died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 8:04 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A Tuesday autopsy determined Collins died of multiple gunshot wounds and the death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office. A secondary cause of death was listed as prior gunshot wounds.
Nobody has been charged in the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating if the killing was gang related.
