Toddler Ameriah Roberson was killed last month on the South Side and her body allegedly dumped in south suburban Riverdale. Reader “niki w” posted this about the case:
Im a mother myself, and a first time mom. As a single mother you worry so much about the help you receive while working, and going out for a breather, you worry so much about the possibilities that can harm your child, what do you do? In any waking moment, your child safety can be stripped away right before your eye’s, what else can we do, to see better fit for our children’s safety. My heart goes out to not only this mom but for every mother who feels the need to be over willingly protective of their child because of our society.
