Andres Servantes dies after Ashburn shooting

Andres Servantes died three days after being shot in the head in the Ashburn community.

Servantes, 22, was sitting in a vehicle in the 8100 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue when a light-colored vehicle pulled up and somebody inside opened fire about 10:10 p.m. Friday, authorities said.

Servantes, of the 4000 block of West 58th Place, was shot in the head and shoulder and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, authorities said. He died at the hospital at 7:53 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Nobody has been charged in the murder.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
