Keno Glass, 16, killed in Rogers Park drive-by shooting

Keno Glass was killed in an early Tuesday drive-by shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood.

Glass, 16, was walking on a sidewalk in the 7600 block of North Ashland Avenue when a gray minivan drove past and someone inside shot at him about 2:40 a.m., authorities said.

Glass, of the 3500 block of West Walnut Street, was dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

According to DNAinfo Chicago, Glass was an aspiring rapper and a student at Senn High School.

A music video featuring Glass was posted to YouTube in September. It appears to have been filmed near the high school, on a basketball court at Senn Park on Ridge Avenue.

Nobody has been charged in the murder, but at least one “person of interest” is being questioned, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
