Juwan Williams died early Tuesday after being shot multiple times in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Sunday evening.
Williams, 18, was with a group of friends in the 3900 block of West Polk Street when two people walked up and one of them opened fire about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.
Williams, of the 4000 block of West Arthington Street, was shot in the head, chest and arm, authorities said. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 3:54 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody else was hurt in the shooting, police said.
The two ran away after the shooting and nobody has been charged in the shooting.
Area North detectives are investigating.
