Lance Stanton was fatally shot early Monday in the Austin neighborhood.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired found Stanton shot multiple times in the 5400 block of West Haddon Avenue about 1 a.m., authorities said.
Stanton, 25, who lived on the block, died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 1:36 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area North detectives are investigating if the shooting was gang related.
