Devin Pope was shot to death early Friday in the South Shore neighborhood.
Officers responding to a call of a person down found Pope, 23, shot to death in the entryway of an apartment in the 6700 block of South Clyde Avenue about 3:40 a.m., authorities said.
Pope, of the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue, died at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
