A 14-year-old boy was shot to death Sunday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood.
Marcus McCarty was in the 1100 block of North Leclaire Avenue when two males approached and one shot him in the back at 2:52 p.m., authorities said.
After the shooting, the pair got into a dark Infiniti and drove away, police said.
McCarty, of the 1000 block of North Leclaire Avenue, died about an hour later at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area North detectives are investigating.
