Quentin Graham was shot to death early Sunday in the Back of the Yards community.
Graham, 40, was sitting on a porch in the 800 block of West 50th Place when a light-colored vehicle pulled up about 2:45 a.m., authorities said.
As Graham walked towards the vehicle someone inside opened fire, authorities said.
Graham, of the 700 block of West 50th Place, was shot in the chest and died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County less than an hour later, authorities said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
