A man was fatally shot in a car exiting the Kennedy Expressway Friday night in the Logan Square community, State Police announced Monday.
Decari Spivey, 21, was a passenger in a car on southbound exit ramp from the Kennedy Expressway (I-90) to Armitage Avenue when he was shot about 2:10 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.
Police believe another vehicle was involved in the attack, said Illinois State Police spokeswoman Monique Bond.
Spivey, of the 200 block of North Keeler Avenue, was shot in the head and died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 6:58 p.m. Friday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Two other people were in the car with Spivey but were not injured, authorities said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Illinois State Police are investigating.
