Terry Cook was killed in a Back of the Yards shooting that left another man wounded Monday night.
Cook, 32, was shot multiple times in the 5400 block of South Laflin Street about 3 p.m. Monday, authorities said.
Cook, of the 1400 block of West Garfield Boulevard, was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 9:56 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy determined he died from a gunshot wound to the chest and his death was ruled a homicide.
A 19-year-old man was also wounded and taken to Stroger Hospital with gunshot wounds to both legs and his left hand, police said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
