Roddy Comer was killed in an Auburn Gresham area shooting that also left a teenage boy wounded late Friday.
The gunman walked up to Comer and the 16-year-old boy near South Carpenter Street and West 88th Street and opened fire about 10:50 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
Comer, 20, of the 7100 block of South Maplewood Avenue, was shot in the back and buttocks and died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn early Saturday, authorities said.
The teen was shot in the left arm and taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park for treatment, police said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating.
