Eddie Taylor killed in shooting at West Garfield Park party

Eddie Taylor was killed in a West Garfield Park shooting that left three other people injured early Saturday.

Taylor and his acquaintances were at a party in the 4400 block of West Madison Street when one member of their group got into an argument with a man with a gun about 1:10 a.m., authorities said.

During the dispute, the man with the gun opened fire, police said.

Taylor, 22, of the 1900 block of South Homan Avenue, was shot in the face and died at the scene, authorities said.

Three other people were wounded in the shooting.

A 20-year-old woman was shot multiple times and taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.

A second woman, 20, was shot in the buttocks and taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment, police said.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the lower back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment, according to police.

Nobody has been charged for the murder.

Area North detectives are investigating.
