Doug A. Chambliss was fatally shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Monday morning.
Chambliss, 33, was outside in the 700 block of South Karlov Avenue when two males walked up and opened fire at 9:07 a.m. Monday, authorities said.
Chambliss, who lived on the block, was shot in the back and leg and died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, authorities said.
After the shooting, the gunmen ran away and are not in custody, police said.
Area North detectives are investigating.
