A 61-year-old man has died more than three months after he was shot at a Chatham neighborhood lounge.
James Watson, 61, was in the lounge in the 700 block of East 83rd Street when he heard an argument about 1:50 a.m. Aug. 2 and was shot in the back, authorities said.
Watson, of the 7300 block of South Union Avenue, died at Rush University Medical Center at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy confirmed he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
Two other men, 32 and 39, were also wounded in the shooting, police said. Both men survived their injuries.
Area South detectives are investigating.
