Johnathan Cartwright was fatally shot in the Chatham community Saturday evening.
Officers responding to a call of a person shot in the 800 block of East 87th Place found Cartwright, 18, unresponsive on a sidewalk, authorities said.
Cartwright was shot in the head and died at the scene, authorities said. His home address was unknown Sunday evening.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating if the shooting is gang related.
