Hermenegildo Vilchis, 50, stabbed to death at West Town restaurant

A 50-year-old man was stabbed to death inside a West Town restaurant early Saturday.

Hermenegildo Vilchis got into an argument with another 50-year-old man inside Taqueria El Taco Naco at 2640 W. Chicago Ave., authorities said.

The argument became physical and the other man stabbed Vilchis in the chest about 1:05 a.m., authorities said.

Vilchis, of the 3800 block of West Diversey Avenue, died at short time later at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Nobody has been charged for the killing.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
