Javante Linson was found shot to death in the McKinley Park neighborhood early Saturday.
Linson, 18, was found shot multiple times in a gangway in the 3400 block of South Hamilton Avenue about 1 a.m., authorities said.
Linson, of the 2700 block of West Lexington Street, had been shot in the head and abdomen and died at the scene, authorities said.
As news of Linson’s death spread, family and friends took to social media to express their condolences:
Nobody has been charged for the killing.
Area Central detectives are investigating if the shooting was gang related.
