Nicole M. Towns was killed when a gunman opened fire at a group leaving a Roseland party Friday night.
The group had just left a party in the 9300 block of South LaSalle Street when a gunman opened fire about 11 p.m., police said.
Towns, 19, of the 7400 block of South Michigan Avenue, was shot in the side and died at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
A 30-year-old man was also shot in the side and taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A 28-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and took himself to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Nobody has been charged for the killing.
Area South detectives are investigating.
