A South Side man has been charged with the fatal shooting of Marsolino White in the Burnside neighborhood on Tuesday.

Stephen Crump, 27, faces one count of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting that left the 28-year-old White dead, according to Chicago Police.

About 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, White was shot in the head in the 9200 block of South Cottage Grove, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. White, of the 7700 block of South Coles, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Crump, of the 300 block of East 70th Place, was ordered held without bond, and is due back n court Oct. 13.
