Cory D. Brown was killed in a drive-by shooting Tuesday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The 33-yer-old was outside in the 0-100 block of South Leamington about 4 p.m. when a vehicle drove by and someone inside fired at him, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Brown, of the 5000 block of West Washington, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:40 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy found he died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide.
