Antoine Crowder found fatally shot in South Shore

Antoine Crowder was shot to death late Tuesday in the South Shore neighborhood, one of at least four men to die from gunshot wounds on election day.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 2300 block of East 70th Place about 11:05 p.m. found the 23-year-old lying on the sidewalk unresponsive, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Crowder, who lived in the 8600 block of South Lowe Avenue, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m., authorities said.
