Victor Navarrette was shot to death Tuesday night in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, one of four men to die in gun violence on election day.

The 25-year-old was driving an SUV in the 3200 block of West 64th Place about 10:40 p.m. when someone in another SUV fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Navarrette was shot in the head, then crashed his vehicle into a garage in the 6400 block of South Troy Street, police said. No one was injured in the crash.

Navarrette, who lived in the 3200 block of West 65th Street, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:54 p.m., authorities said.
