Willie Jones was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 0-100 block of North Lorel at 2:33 p.m. found the 35-year-old Willie Jones unresponsive in an alley, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He suffered gunshot wounds to the head and back, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:36 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 5500 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
