Man found fatally shot in West Rogers Park identified as 19-year-old Kaysar Chako of Park Ridge

A 19-year-old suburban man man who was fatally shot last Wednesday night in the West Rogers Park neighborhood has been identified as Kaysar Chako.

He was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 3000 block of West Devon about 9 p.m. when someone exiting a store fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Chako, of the 1900 block of Parkside Drive in northwest suburban Park Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:39 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for funeral expenses.
