Otis Richmond dies 18 minutes after taking himself to St. Bernard Hospital; police are looking for a crime scene

Otis Richmond showed up at a hospital in Englewood on Sunday evening, and died less than 20 minutes later. Now Chicago Police are trying to find where and when the shooting occurred.

The 21-year-old Richmond took himself to St. Bernard Hospital at 326 W. 64th St. after being shot, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He arrived in the ER at 6:50 p.m. and was pronounced dead at 7:08 p.m., according to medical examiner’s office.

Richmond lived in the 5200 block of West Harrison, but as of Monday morning, police did not know when or where the shooting occurred.
