Raygene Jackson fatally shot while fighting with another man in West Garfield Park

Raygene Jackson was fatally shot Sunday morning during a fight over a dice game in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

About 4:45 a.m., the 38-year-old Jackson got into a fight with someone who pulled out a gun and shot him in the back of the head in the 4500 block of West Maypole, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A family member said the fight started over a dice game.

Jackson was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 1:07 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 1200 block of South Kildare.

No one was in custody as of Monday morning.
