Keith Jackson was shot to death Wednesday afternoon while driving in the West Englewood neighborhood.
The 32-year-old Jackson was driving in the 2000 block of West 68th Place about 1:30 p.m. when someone on foot opened fire on his vehicle, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Jackson, of the 5900 block of South Sangamon, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08 p.m., authorities said. He died of a gunshot wound to the neck and his death was ruled a homicide.
In May, three people were shot on the same block. A month before that, two people were killed and three more wounded in another attack nearby.
