68-year-old Booker Parrow fatally shot during struggle with woman in Douglas home

Sixty-eight-year-old Booker T. Parrow was fatally shot Monday morning during a domestic dispute with a woman in the South Side Douglas neighborhood.

Parrow was involved in an argument with a 74-year-old woman in the 2600 block of South Indiana when he pulled out a gun and a struggle ensued at 10:06 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

During the struggle, the gun went off and Parrow was shot in the head, police said.

Parrow, who lived on the same block, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:25 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

As of early Tuesday, the woman was being questioned by Area Central detectives.
