Raheem Gray was shot to death Monday evening near his home in the North Lawndale neighborhood.
Gray, 34, was outside in the 3600 block of West 13th Street about 5:15 p.m. when another male walked up and shot him several times, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The shooter then ran east on 13th Street, then south on Central Park
Gray, who lived a block away in the 3600 block of West 13th Street, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:47 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
