A teenager charged with a fatal shooting of Tontriche Weathersby Jr. at a Gage Park neighborhood party last weekend was ordered held on a $1 million bond on his 18th birthday.

Guillermo Romero was ordered held Saturday for the Sept. 18 murder in the 5800 block of South Maplewood, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County sheriff’s office.

Shortly after midnight that morning, Romero got into an argument with the 20-year-old Weathersby and shot him in the chest, authorities allege.

Weathersby, who lived in south suburban Evergreen park, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Romero, of the 3100 block of West Pope John Paul II Drive, is due in court again Monday.
