Nathan Watson shot to death while looking at a vehicle on the street in Englewood

Nathan V. Watson was shot to death Saturday evening while looking at a vehicle in the Englewood neighborhood.

Watson, 22, was standing outside looking at a vehicle in the 1500 block of West 56th Street about 7:25 p.m. when shots rang out, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Watson was struck several times, according to police.

Watson, of the 5700 block of South Ashland, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:17 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.
