Rolando Gamino of East Chicago dies after being shot during argument with a man in Little Village

Rolando Gamino, a northwest Indiana resident, died about five hours after being shot during an argument early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.

About 4:20 a.m., Gamino, 30, got into an argument with another male in the 3100 block of South Central Park. The other man pulled out a handgun and opened fire, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Gamino was shot in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:34 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

Gamino lived in the 5000 block of Baring Avenue in East Chicago, Indiana, authorities said.
