Lorenzo ‘P-Dog’ Dixon found with multiple gunshot wounds on block where he lived in East Garfield Park

A man shot to death early Saturday on the block where he lived in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side has been identified as Lorenzo Dixon, known to friends as “P-Dog.”

Officers responding to reports of shots fired at 3:21 a.m. found the 31-year-old lying in an alley in the 100 block of South California, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dixon, who lived on the block where he was fouud had suffered gunshot wounds to the head, left arm and left leg, authorities said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:53 a.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office.
