Taurus ‘PeeWee’ Williams fatally shot while driving in Roseland

Taurus A. Williams was fatally shot while driving Monday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 41-year-old Williams was shot in the head, side and hip about 8 a.m. while in his vehicle in the 9700 block of South Lafayette, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was able to drive to the 10000 block of South Wentworth, but then crashed into two other vehicles, according to police.

Williams, known to friends as PeeWee, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 8:46 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 300 block of West 100th Street.

His son, Taurus Moe Williams, was fatally shot on June 14. 2014, in Morgan Park.
