37-year-old Marvin Johnson shot to death in front of his Englewood home

Marvin Johnson was shot to death Thursday morning outside his home in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

Johnson, 37, walked outside his home in the 7000 block of South Carpenter at 9:11 a.m. and was approached by two suspects, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The suspects shot Johnson multiple times before running away, police said.

Johnson was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 10:01 a.m., authorities said.
