16-year-old Diabolique Anderson dies two days after being shot in Englewood by group in SUV

Sixteen-year-old Diabolique Anderson died Friday afternoon, two days after he was shot in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers found the teen about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on a sidewalk in the 6800 block of South Green with gunshot wounds to the head and thigh, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Witnesses saw four males take off in a black SUV after the shooting.

Anderson was pronounced dead at 2:28 p.m. Friday at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived less than a mile away in the 100 block of East 68th Street.

An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
