Reginald Boston died Sunday, about three hours after he was stabbed by an acquaintance in the South Chicago neighborhood.
About 4:04 a.m., the 26-year-old Boston was in a gangway in the 3200 block of East 91st Street. He was approached by someone he knew who pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen, Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Boston showed up at Trinity Hospital, and was transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 7:12 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 3500 block of West 74th Street.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
His father, also named Reginald Boston, was also stabbed to death in what police called a domestic incident in October 2014. The 44-year-old was stabbed in the chest at a home in the 300 block of East 48th Street about 6 p.m., authorities said at the time.
