About a month ago, Donovan Swint was riding in a vehicle in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side when he was shot. On Thursday, he died from his injuries.
About 10 p.m. on Feb. 22, the 25-year-old Swint was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the 9100 block of South Oglesby. He heard shots and realized he’d been struck in the back, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was taken to Trinity Hospital and later transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 3:47 p.m. Thursday, authorities said. An autopsy Friday ruled his death a homicide.
No one was in custody for the shooting.
