Zieyeal Easterling, an aspiring rapper who recorded songs as Uptown Luckie, was fatally shot early Friday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, according to authorities.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 2:52 a.m. in the 100 block of North California found a car riddled with bullets and the 32-year-old Easterling slumped inside in the 100 block of North California, Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Easterling, who lived in the West Ridge neighborhood, had suffered three gunshot wounds to the head, and more to the back. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Easterling had recorded songs under a couple of different names, including Uptown Luckie, Luckie Luciano and Luckie Jones.
