A man killed in a shooting early Sunday that also left another man wounded in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side has been identified as Michael Ferguson.
A male suspect approached and shot both men at 1:06 a.m. while they were standing on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Arthington, according to Chicago Police.
They were both taken to Stroger Hospital.
Ferguson, 31, was shot in the neck, and died at the hospital at 1:45 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The other man, 32, was shot in the right leg, police said. His condition had stabilized at Stroger.
