Micah Brown killed in drive-by shooting in Marquette Park

Micah Brown was shot to death Friday morning in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 11:14 a.m. found the 23-year-old lying unresponsive in the 6400 block of South Talman, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He had been shot in the chest by someone in a passing vehicle, police said.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:28 a.m., and his body was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, authorities said. He lived in the Gresham neighborhood.

An autopsy Saturday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
