Jesse A. Bennett was shot to death during a fight early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.
About 3 a.m., the 41-year-old Bennett was in an argument with another in the 2700 block of East 75th Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The other man at some point pulled out a handgun and fired shots, police said.
Bennett was shot in the face and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. He lived in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives conduct a homicide investigation.
